Testmasters Launches Comprehensive Online Courses for High School Placement Test (HSPT)

May 5, 2011 - PRLog -- Testmasters has announced today the release of the first comprehensive online course for the commonly used private schools admissions High School Placement Test (HSPT).  This course is the first of its kind in that it is presently the only full-scale course presented by a test prep company with independent, proprietary materials. Testmasters students can now choose between the traditional classroom course, private tutoring, and online course options.

“These new HSPT courses, complete with an online option, are the only ones in the field that are taught with full length proprietary materials,” said Testmasters Director Roger Israni. “Other companies may offer manuals or online instruction, but this is the first and only full length, piece by piece course meant to prepare students incrementally for the exam.”

The Online Option
In reference to the online option Israni added, “Students who like to work at their own pace may find online courses more in tune with their personal styles of learning. Also, we allow students to watch the videos multiple times, so students can review the lessons that they found most challenging.” The HSPT online course was developed using real HSPT exams and includes nine online videos (27 hours of instruction), a proprietary Testmasters HSPT course manual, and six practice HSPT exams. All videos are shot in high-definition audio and video and are streamed from the Testmasters website directly to a student’s computer.

About the HSPT
The HSPT, which is administered primarily by Catholic and other parochial schools, is a widely-used private school entrance exam taken by 8th graders all over the United States. With admissions rates ranging anywhere between 20% and 60%, private school admissions have become increasingly competitive.
