Webcast: The Impact of Donning and Doffing Pay Issues for Food Processors

Dec. 28, 2010 - PRLog -- Recent interpretations of the Fair Labor Standards Act by courts and the Department of Labor address employees’ right to compensation for time spent changing in and out of work clothes, as well as other related pre- and post- job activities each day. The potential operating cost impact of these changing interpretations is causing food processors to revisit how best to mitigate the risk of liability and damages for non-compliance, while still managing overall company profitability.

Donning and doffing have come under fire as food processors, employees, and unions consider the legal and financial impacts of these activities.
