Posture and Back Pain

Posture is largely about getting muscles to try and hold us against gravity.

Oct. 5, 2010 - PRLog -- Bad posture can be one of the major factors in contributing to back pain. Posture is largely about getting muscles to try and hold us against gravity and that is a hard work, since these days our lifestyle makes our muscles weak and lazy.

Few decades ago furniture was harder and made us sit straight. People walked to and from places. Cars didn’t have power steering and you would have to roll up your window and not press a button in the car. In the office, you would have to get off your bottom and walk to another person’s room to give them a message, not E-mail them. At home most of the household chores took a lot more of a manual labor than what they do today.

Generations of people stayed strong because of the demands of their environment.  As technology advanced the demand for manual tasks diminished, consequently weakening our muscles reducing their ability to allow functioning in the way that they were designed by nature.
