Follow on Google News | FDC teams up with Radio 2 Website of the WeekFDC design and marketing studio continues to pace ahead, thanks to an exciting business idea set to make it big on the World Wide Web.
By: George Dryden Don’t Forget Your Toothbrush is the original on-line memory aid for absent-minded travellers in business, education, public sector and the travel industry. If you’re going away and want to make sure you remember to pack everything, this is the site to turn to. From specialist dietary requirements to memory jogs for travel basics, Don’t Forget Your Toothbrush is set to become the ultimate saviour for frazzled PAs, forgetful parents and school trip organisers alike. The company’s original site – Remindalists – merited a coveted mention on Miles Mendoza’s Website of the Week slot on Radio Two, not once, but twice. It is also continually quoted in the UK media as a pre-holiday must-have. Following on from its initial success with public users, Remindalists seemed to lose momentum because of a lack of commercial direction. This all changed after they contacted FDC. FDC managing director Dale Moreton enthused directors Jonathan Kemp and Chris Mitchell with multiple, cash-rich new revenue streams and an original re-branding concept. Don’t Forget Your Toothbrush co-director Jonathan Kemp said: “We went to three design agencies, including FDC, another in Leicestershire and one in London. “The London agency became quite confrontational with us about the approach THEY wanted to take when we asked for their credentials to back up their claims. The other local agency approached us with a generic marketing spiel. They sounded like they were willing to go along with whatever we wanted. But that was just it: we didn’t know what we wanted! “There was just more substance to the advice Dale gave us. In our initial discussions, not only did he give us advice on what we had approached him about, but he also put a lot of work into giving us some sound growth advice. “If someone is looking for a bit of advice on making money from their website, or how to market themselves on-line, you have to call FDC. They didn’t say yes to everything we suggested, which we were a bit taken aback by at first, but their advice works. Dale has delivered us much more than anyone else we have met in the profession.” Dale Moreton, managing director of FDC, said: “It was quite clear to see that Don’t Forget your Toothbrush, the public-facing portal for travellers, could be converted into a model for the commercial world, giving Remindalists a second string to their bow and an additional revenue stream which they didn’t have initially. He continued: “FDC will be working with Remindalists from the launch of the new Don’t Forget Your Toothbrush product on-going over the next 12 months, with the aim of bringing in an extra £150,000 to their business.” -ends- PRESS ENQUIRIES, INTERVIEWS AND IMAGE REQUESTS: Contact George Dryden on 01530 265 635, or email: press@fdcstudio.co.uk CASE STUDIES: A number of in-depth client case studies are available on request, including British Sugar; Aerotherm; Holmewood Hall meeting, conference and training centre, and travel reminder companion Don’t Forget Your Toothbrush.
