Everyone Should Refuse To Be A Victim
On March 12th in the Corbett Gym come and join us for a class on practical self defense instructed by Soke Dan Hausel, 10th degree black belt and founder of Seiyo Shorin-Ryu Karate & Kobudo Kai Interntional.
The University of Wyoming Resident Life & Dining Services (RL&DS) is working with The UW Seiyo Shorin-Ryu Karate and Kobudo Club to provide self defense training to UW students, faculty, staff, their families and members of the Laramie community. The class will begin at 4:00 p.m. with registration and signing waivers and wrap up around 8:30 p.m. This program is geared toward teaching simple yet extremely effective techniques that are easy to learn and don’t require a lot of physical strength.
There is no registration fee for participants thanks to a grant from UW RL&DS and everyone ages 12 and above is welcome to attend. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by adults who are also participating in the class. We encourage men and women to attend and learn how defend themselves. We promise everybody will benefit from the instruction and you’ll come away with a new appreciation for self defense.
The UW Seiyo Kai Karate Club wants everyone to learn self defense and “people aged 12 to 25 are primary targets for aggression.”*
