High Stakes Fantasy Football League Announces Improvements for 2010

Jan. 6, 2010 - PRLog -- Owners Alex Kagaonovsky and Dave Gerczak are making the following exciting improvements for the 2010 Fantasy Football season.

** The FFPC Grand Prize will be increased from $75,000 in 2009 to $100,000 in 2010.

Dave Gerczak stated, "Alex and I feel that we really needed to get our grand prize to six figures this year. As a national contest, the $100,000 number helps in  marketing the contest to new high stakes players and one of you WILL win this money. Don Metter (2009 Champions) and Chad Schroeder (2008 Champion) may have never thought they would win $75,000, but they sure did. And with our tournament expecting about 300 or so players for 2010, the odds are decent to hit the $100,000 grand prize."

** League prizes will be increased from $8,000 to $8,500 per league. "We are adding $250 to the #1 and #2 seeds, as they will get back $1,250 for best record and $1,250 for most points," Gerczak explained. "This is the area we will look to add prize money to as we continue to grow. We are pleased to be able to increase our league prizes every year and we plan to do so again next year. Now that we have the $100,000 grand prize, the FFPC will look to increase our league prize by greater levels next year. If we exceed our
projected entries for 2010, we could go to higher league prizes as soon as
this year."

** The draft date and venue:  The venue is still to be determined. We have enjoyed Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, and they do a great job. We should have an announcement within a few months on that. The Friday live draft date is tentatively set for Friday, September 10th, 2010. We are not ready to announce any Saturday, September 11th drafts or events yet, but stay tuned for future announcements. We will again have two online Main Event drafts -- one on Friday night (September 10th) and one on Saturday afternoon (September 11th).

** The FFPC will still host The Big Payback, which could have two leagues
for 2010.  The Terminator, Live DE, 77s, and Live Auctions are all returning
for 2010, and the formats will be the same, with maybe a tweak here or
there. The Field of 128 and Playa4LIFE are also both returning for 2010. The
Fields of 64 and 96 will grow to 128 for 2010.

** In regards to New FFPC contests: Nothing new to announce yet. We may or may not have a new contest or two this year, as we are considering a few options. Alex and I do not want to overwhelm people with too many choices, but we also do not want to force our loyal players to join another contest just to get a chance to play a certain prize point league or format. We shall see.

** The FFPC Thursday Viewing Party:  Nothing to announce yet, but we will do
something. The 2009 party was outstanding.  I expect there will be a cost this year, but it will be reasonable.

** The 2010 FFPC Main Event already has almost 60 players registered.
