The second annual Differently Abled Holiday Kid’s Party is a free event presented by TLC Mobility Foundation to promote the participation and involvement (inclusion) of all children with and without disabilities together on Sunday, December 27, 2009, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Mission Bay Plaza in Boca Raton.
This year’s event includes the free distribution of teddy bears from American Health Foundation, Webkinz from Hoffman Chocolates to tote bags and thermoses from Factor Health all made possible by the donated storage and trucking of Southern Storage of Boca Raton. “I am excited about this opportunity to have generous giveaways provided by the coming together of company’s with strong commitment to giving back the community. I believe it will help us foster our goal to promote the participation and involvement of all children with and without disabilities together,” said Lisa Hamilton-Johnson, President of TLC Mobility Foundation. Planned event activities also includes: storytelling, crafts, and of course Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus.
In addition, The Differently Abled Kid’s Party is the culmination celebration of the Differently Abled Toy Drive campaign. The Differently Abled Toy Drive gives children with special needs fun and learning toys based upon their specific cognitive, communicative, physical, or sensory special needs during the holiday season.
