Softtek Releases White Papers on Best Practices for Global Sourcing and Source-2-Pay Outsourcing

Two Papers Address Strategies for Establishing Solid Foundations for Global Sourcing Programs and Achieving Operational Rhythm in S2P Outsourcing Engagements

May 5, 2009 - PRLog -- GARTNER Outsourcing & Vendor Management Summit, Las Vegas, NV. – Softtek, a global provider of IT and business process solutions and the largest private IT service provider in Latin America, today released two white papers that address the conservative-progressive approach to global outsourcing and strategies for implementing source-to-pay (S2P) outsourcing arrangements at the Gartner Outsourcing & Vendor Management Summit.

The two white papers, available for complimentary download at Softtek’s website, are:

1. “The Rise of the Conservative-Progressive Approach to Outsourcing – Establishing Solid Foundations for a Global Sourcing Program (Part 1 of 3)” and
2. “Achieving Operational Rhythm in Source-to-Pay Outsourcing – Best Practices for ‘measuring up’ to Business Needs.”

"These white papers showcase Softtek's vast experience in providing comprehensive global-sourcing solutions through our trademarked Global Nearshore™ model," said Beni Lopez, CEO of Softtek Near Shore® Services.  “We are pleased to share our knowledge through these reports with organizations around the world who can benefit from our strong reputation in the IT and BPO global sourcing industry.”

The first white paper is part of a three-part series titled “Proven Strategies for Cost-Containment and Risk-Balancing in Turbulent Times.”  Part one, “The Rise of the Conservative-Progressive Approach to Outsourcing,” introduces a new strategy for establishing solid foundations for a global sourcing program. The paper outlines five tactics as key steps for organizations to take to create a well-balanced, global-sourcing portfolio. The tactics include:  Work with a select group of preferred vendors, de-risk through geographic diversification, embrace managed services, standardize the knowledge platform, and establish metrics-driven performance management programs. The report also cites experiences Softtek has had with various clients for each of the five tactics.

The second white paper, “Achieving Operational Rhythm in Source-to-Pay Outsourcing,” discusses the expected growth in the source-to-pay (S2P) market and best practices for accomplishing a seamless and metric-driven integration in S2P outsourcing arrangements. The report notes four key activities to achieve operational rhythm: Establish a consistent set of appropriate metrics, envision the right tracking tool, discover the opportune time to deliver the appropriate metrics to stakeholders, and practice discipline in communications.
