Softtek’s SAP Practice in South America Wins Four Awards

PR Log (Press Release) – Apr 01, 2009 – MONTERREY, Mexico – Softtek, a global provider of IT and business process solutions and the largest private IT service provider in Latin America, announced today it has received four SAP awards: two in Brazil and two in Argentina.  Among the recognitions were Softtek’s 10th SAP Award of Excellence (AoE) in the regional category and the Impact Award in São Paulo, as well as first place in “Quantity of Certified Consultants in 2008” and “2008 Strategic Project” in Buenos Aires.

During the SAP Forum in Brazil in February, Softtek received the Impact Award and was also the sole recipient of the SAP AoE in the regional category, awarded by SAP to partners that obtain the best results in an annual client satisfaction research.

The Impact Award – Softtek’s third recognition from the Americas’ SAP Users’ Group (ASUG) – recognizes the efforts and achievements of ASUG members who have realized significant business results by running SAP solutions.  Softtek’s winning project was Assisted Manufacture for Lupatech S.A., the leading manufacturer of industrial valves for the automotive as well as the oil and gas industries in Mercosur.  The project enabled Lupatech to monitor the entire operation through the use of mobile devices, providing access to detailed information on the progress of the production, consumption, waste and rework generated along the production line.

In Argentina, Softtek was also the recipient of two recognitions by SAP.  First, the company’s project beat over 30 other entries to win the “2008 Strategic Project.”  The award was based on high level of client satisfaction, the quality and functionality of the final delivered product, as well as the technologies used.  Secondly, Softtek Argentina also took first place for having the greatest number of certified consultants in 2008 for its 117 certified professionals.
