Beverly explained, “We aim to sell 20,000 entry tickets. This will ensure that the winner will receive not only our beautiful four bedroom house but we’ll also cover all the legal fees and taxes. We’ll even throw in two return UK air fares, so the winner can come to collect the keys.”

Andy added, “Most people dream of being mortgage-free. Living a slower, stress-free lifestyle is high on the list too. Top it off with warm sun and almost year-round blue skies and for many this prize is a dream come true.”

Backing on to the picturesque Lauro golf course - just outside the modern town of Alhaurín de la Torre – this well-equipped Andalucían home has mountain views, countryside walks and is just a short drive from shops and beaches. On site there are two restaurants, two bars, tennis, bowling, two pools, petanque, a nearby equestrian centre and a driving range plus 27 holes of golf.

Living and working in Spain is easy for EU nationals but the winner could also sell the property and pocket the cash or derive a rental income from visiting holiday makers and golfers. Getting there and back is easy, too… Málaga airport is just 20 minutes away with direct flights from the UK and Europe. UK flight time is approximately two and a half to three hours.

Following the allocation of the prize, the couple will make donations to the children’s charity UNICEF and also Queen Elizabeth Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Kings Lynn. The hospital’s neonatal unit expertly cared for Zack, their first grandson, who was born three months prematurely in June 2008.

If tickets sales don’t reach the target, a cash prize will be awarded. This will be the funds collected less the cost of marketing, administration and legal fees.

The Rockliffes have decided to dispose of their property via a competition as it should prove to be a cost-effective and relatively speedy way to release the equity tied up in their home, in order to invest it in a new business venture.  

The house is a luxury townhouse built three years ago at Lauro Golf, Alhaurín de la Torre, Málaga, in southern Spain. The property has four double bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with Jacuzzi bath.

The ground floor has a bright and airy lounge/dining area, a cherry wood kitchen with all appliances included and a cloakroom. The basement floor has a large store room, additional storage space and private underground parking.

Other features include wireless internet access, satellite TV, heating/air conditioning system, under floor heating in the bathrooms, marble floors, etc.
