Credit Crisis Creates An Opportunity For First Time Buyers

While banks and other lenders have tightened up on their lending criteria, the credit crunch has actually opened a door to owning property - without needing a mortgage or other loan.

June 8, 2009 - PRLog -- Malaga, Spain  - Just as the financial crisis makes getting a mortgage even more difficult Andy and Beverly Rockliffe have launched a competition with their four bedroom luxury home in Andalucia, southern Spain as the prize.

“For many, getting on the property ladder is an insurmountable problem”, says Andy “but our competition will put one lucky winner streets ahead of the property game. A fantastic four bedroom home in the sun – mortgage-free – and for only £25. Unless Sarah Beeny entered our competition, even with the magic she can work, she couldn’t pull this off for you.”

Beverly added, “The winner of our fabulous home has nothing to pay. We’ll cover all the legal fees and will even throw in two return UK air fares, so the winner can come to collect the keys.”

The spacious home backs on to a beautiful golf course (front line), has mountain views, countryside walks and is just a short drive from shops and beaches. On site there is a restaurant, two bars, tennis, bowling, two pools, petanque, a nearby equestrian centre – plus 27 holes of golf.

Living and working in Spain is easy for EU nationals but the winner could also sell the property and pocket the cash or derive a rental income from visiting holiday makers and golfers. Getting there and back is easy, too… Malaga airport is just 20 minutes away with direct flights from the UK and Europe. UK flight time is approximately two and a half to three hours.

Full details of the house and competition are available at www.winadreamhomeinthesun.com/pr/ladder
If tickets sales don’t reach the target, a cash prize will be awarded. This will be the funds collected less the cost of marketing, administration and legal fees.

Editors Notes
The Rockliffes have decided to dispose of their property via a competition as it should prove to be a cost-effective and relatively speedy way to release the equity tied up in their home.

The house is a luxury townhouse built three years ago at Lauro Golf, Alhaurin de la Torre, Malaga, in southern Spain. The property has four double bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with Jacuzzi bath.

The ground floor has a bright and airy lounge/dining area, a cherry wood kitchen with all appliances included and a cloakroom. The basement floor has a large store room, additional storage space and private underground parking.
Other features include wireless internet access, satellite TV, heating/air conditioning system, under floor heating in the bathrooms, marble floors, etc.

There are terraces back and front on both the ground and upper floors. Views to the front are of the Guadalhorce Valley. The south facing rear of the property directly overlooks the golf course (front line) with the Sierra de Mijas mountains as a beautiful backdrop. Lauro Golf is located almost at the midpoint between the towns of Alhaurin de la Torre and Alhaurin el Grande: less than a 10 minute drive to either.

Just 20 minutes away, Malaga airport offers easy access to the UK and many other international destinations. The city of Malaga is another ten or so minutes drive further on. Within easy reach are the towns and beaches of Marbella (35 mins), Fuengirola (25 mins), Benalmadena (25 mins), Carihuela (20 mins) and Mijas old town (15 mins).

The property is ideal as a family holiday home or for permanent relocation. For those with rental income generation in mind there are plenty of visiting golfers and holiday makers who come to the area every year. Of course, the winner could even sell the house and invest the money in a business or pension, for example.
