Sept. 24, 2008 - PRLog -- Building on its state-of-the-art workforce optimization tools, Iontas recently announced it has added a new functionality to one of the products in its suite: propagating data input from one screen to multiple applications automatically.

Currently users enter data into an application, and users from another department may have to enter the same data in a different application - or - users have to enter the same information in different applications via cut and paste funtions on their desktop. Event Focus now allows this to happen automatically in real time.

The new and improved Event Focus not only inteprets how to deal with certain events that occur between an employee and their computer, it will now capture information entered into one application and automatically distruibute that information across to other applications with little user involvement.

For example, when entering customer information into a shipping address book in preparation to print a shipping tag, the program can automatically and immediately transfer that data to a CRM system, a database application and even to an accounting application.
"The real beauty about this feature is it requires absolutely no integration into existing systems," claims CTO of Iontas Martin McCreesh. "It's as simple as defining the fields and the applications involved and when a user enters that information, the other programs are invoked and the data is automatically populated in the other applications."

Iontas’ Focus software suite, which consists of four modules, gives companies the unique ability to understand exactly how employees use software to do their day-to-day jobs so they can improve business processes and resource allocation.

1.   Activity Focus module captures detailed data on how users interact with their software applications, including information such as what applications and web pages users access, how long they spend in a given window or page, and even values entered by users or returned by software.

2.   Event Focus module is a business rules event processing engine that allows companies to plan for events and automatically trigger actions based on these occurrences.

3.   Process Focus recognizes and captures data on entire business processes, such as "loan application", or "balance inquiry" that may span multiple software applications and steps.

4.   Process Discovery Focus automatically discovers the varying processes in a department or through the enterprise and draws the process flows as a Visio diagram.
With this added data integration functionality, companies can significantly reduce the amount of time it takes for workers to duplicate data in varying applications throughout the enterprise.
