Today’s announcement underscores the value that Iontas’s Focus suite can bring to a variety of industries looking to improve their business processes and the way employees use software applications to do their jobs.

Financial services firms, insurance companies, utilities, and contact centers throughout the world use Focus to collect business intelligence from a wide variety of applications, providing unprecedented insight into the interaction between organizations' two most expensive resources: people and technology. This insight gives managers the information they need to reduce waste, mitigate risk and optimize revenues.

Today marks Iontas’s first sale of Event Focus to the Transportation Industry. The company chose Iontas because managers needed to extract usage from several applications, but didn’t want to put up with the expense, work interruptions and long lead times required to integrate to all its different software platforms. (Focus requires no integration to the software applications from which it collects data.)

“We’re excited to be working with a company that defines its leadership in terms of high quality customer service,” said Iontas’s CEO, Joe Stockton. “We believe that Event Focus will enable managers and employees to work more closely together to enhance their contact center’s efficiency.”

Iontas’ Focus software suite, which consists of four modules, gives companies the unique ability to understand exactly how employees use software to do their day-to-day jobs so they can improve business processes and resource allocation.

1. Activity Focus module captures detailed data on how users interact with their software applications, including information such as what applications and web pages users access, how long they spend in a given window or page, and even values entered by users or returned by software.

2. Event Focus module is a business rules event processing engine that allows companies to plan for events and automatically trigger actions based on these occurrences.

3. Process Focus recognizes and captures data on entire business processes, such as "loan application", or "balance inquiry" that may span multiple software applications and steps.

4. Process Discovery Focus automatically discovers the varying processes in a department or through the enterprise and draws the process flows as a Visio diagram.

Facing ever-increasing fuel costs, transportation providers are seeking ways to work smarter. Focus offers the detailed data they need to assure quality service with at every customer “touch” point and improve employee performance and business process efficiency. Travelers demand uninterrupted, inexpensive, yet high-quality service. When a customer calls for any reason, a knowledgeable, efficient staff is crucial to keeping them happy.
