International Police Psychic Thriller Series from MJT Meijer Launches

Crimson Cloak Publishing (USA) launches Disbelief, book one in a fast-paced new thriller series by Brisbane author M.J.T. Meijer.

ST. LOUIS - June 20, 2018 - PRLog -- Disbelief is the first book in The Ben Smit Series by Meijer, an edgy new series featuring homicide cop Dave Johnson and hypnotherapist and psychic medium Ben Smit, who combine sharp wit, common sense, and extrasensory perception, connecting seemingly unrelated cases, as they race to save lives.

BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA – June 21, 2018

The first book in The Ben Smit Series by Crimson Cloak Publishing author M.J.T. Meijer gets off to a spectacular start with the world-wide release of DISBELIEF. With religion at the foundation of much of the world's turmoil, M.J.T. Meijer shows that deep-seated hurt attached to any belief can lead to fatal, even catastrophic, decisions.

Disbelief takes the reader around the world to pilgrimage sites, where multiple mass-poisonings take place.

Sophie Pearson, a successful artist, created paintings of the horrific events before they occurred. There are more sketches, implying other attacks are yet to take place. What does Sophie know? Who does she know?

A serial killer roams the streets of Amsterdam, leaving dead bodies in five-star hotel rooms throughout the city.

James Edwards, multi-billionaire and founder of the ALA – the Atheist Liaison Association – has an alibi for the time of the poison attacks. But is it a coincidence he's in Amsterdam at the time the serial killer hit?

It is up to Chief of Europol Dave Johnson and police consultant and psychic medium Ben Smit to figure out if both cases are connected. They must unravel the ties between past and present, or more lives will be lost.

One thing is for certain, they won't all make it to the finish line…

M.J.T. Meijer's clever intertwining of multiple plot lines makes for a riveting and fast-paced read that'll keep you in suspense throughout.

Crimson Cloak Publishing covers a wide range of genres, including, but not limited to, crime fiction, women's fiction, non-fiction and self-help books, biographies, as well as a strong section of children's books. Drawing on her experiences as a former hypnotherapist, having lived and immersed herself in different cultures, M.J.T. (Tam) Meijer's work is themed on the balance of light and dark, of twisted minds and loving souls, of murder and chaos and karmic consequences creeping into people's lives, forcing them to change and adapt. A proud Australian citizen today, Tam was born and raised in The Netherlands, and relocated to Dubai before moving to North Lakes, Brisbane, ten years ago. Struggling with the task to requalify to continue her career in Australia, Tam took a year's leave to write the book she's always wanted to read, and that continues to be her main driving force. Once that first manuscript was written, Tam decided to keep writing. In November 2016, Tam submitted her short story Perception to an online magazine's annual competition open to writers from all Commonwealth countries. After the judges reviewed the thousands of entries, her work was shortlisted for inclusion in an anthology, providing her with the confidence to pursue a career as an author, which ultimately resulted in a three-series contract with Crimson Cloak Publishing.

Other titles in The Ben Smit Series that will be released later this year and in 2019 include Disregard and Disorder.

In The Sam Jansen Series, thrillers of a similar genre, titles are Misguided, Misjudged, and (working title) Misbehaved.

The third series by M.J.T. Meijer that will be published by Crimson Cloak Publishing falls within the cosy/humorous crime genre, and is titled Mum's the Word, currently containing two books, A Spade and a Bottle of Port, and (working title) A Ship and a Bottle of Beaujolais.

Disbelief retails for $12.99
