LGBTQ Film Festival Changes the Game

LITHONIA, Ga. - Jan. 25, 2018 - PRLog -- "The Reel" Films Festival is pleased to announce the opening of their inaugural season of the LGBTQ online film festival. The mission of "The Reel" Film Festival is to provide film makers of the LGBTQ community with a platform to feature their works in rainbow fashion. The festival fills the gap where mainstream festivals and media outlets lack, featuring and highlighting the LGBTQ community.

The concept brings together convenience, technological advances, the love of film, and LGBTQ stories in a compelling and intriguing manner. With submissions being accepted from now through February 17, 2018, film makers have an opportunity to get involved in the movement that will help raise awareness of LGBTQ specific issues/topics and shine the spotlight on LGBTQ film makers and actors/actresses. Chosen submissions will be streamed via the "The Reel" Film Festival's website and on the SVTV Network from February 19th through March 11th. This gives film makers an exclusive promotional viewing opportunity as their film(s) will be available for viewers to watch worldwide for the duration of the festival's run time. During this period, an esteemed panel of industry professionals will judge the submissions in preparation for the festival's live online awards show. From the comfort of their own home, viewers and finalists can watch as "The Reel" Film Festival team announces the winners of various categories. Finalists will even have the opportunity to join the team live during the online broadcast.
