Foundation Changes Its Name to Recognize Presence Across North America

BOSTON - April 13, 2016 - PRLog -- The American Malta Foundation was founded to inspire North Americans to learn about, experience and support places of great historic, cultural, and natural significance in Malta, in alliance with Din l-Art Ħelwa, the National Trust of Malta. The Foundation also works with community Maltese groups to preserve and promote Maltese culture and heritage. To reflect its growing activity in both the United States and Canada, it has changed the foundation's name from the American Malta Foundation to the North American Malta Foundation. With this change, the organization also premiered a new logo. The North American Malta Foundation is continuing to gather oral histories from Maltese immigrants as part of the North American Maltese Oral History Project (NAMOP). Collecting the stories of Maltese immigrants through a carefully constructed oral interview process will serve as original source material for scholars and family historians interested in this immigrant population.
