BILLINGS, Mont. - March 24, 2016 - PRLog -- The trip, the first of its kind in over eight decades, marks the end of an era of isolation for Cuba and its citizens. Easing of travel restrictions to Cuba will allow U.S. travelers to visit a country which has been cut-off from the world since the 1950's.

Since the president restored diplomatic relations with Cuba, those wishing to make the trip will find it much easier than in years past. •        Exportation/Exportation of Internet-Based Services

Travelers to Cuba must keep a written record of their itinerary while visiting and keep such records for at least 5 years.  They must also apply for a visa which can be obtained from a travel agency for the cost of about $25. Visas take about 4 weeks to process and be received.

Cuba was once very dependent on tourism and the island offered beautiful hotels, restaurants and amenities that attracted travelers from all over the world. Years of isolation have led to a crumbling infrastructure and tourists may be hard pressed to find high-end accommodations, however, the idea of visiting Cuba as it stands today, is extremely appealing to many.  No doubt the new influx of travelers will be a boom to the Cuban economy and perhaps bring Cuba into the 21st century.  Many people are hoping to make the visit before that happens.
