FuSia Dance Company soars to new heights with their 8th Annual Company Show "Divas of Dance"

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - March 16, 2016 - PRLog -- Celebrating its 8th season, FuSia Dance Company represents dance in the Monroe County for young aspiring dancers who seek the pre-professional experience of life as a performer. The "Divas of Dance" Show will kick off the 2016 season, with a variety of dyynamic and diverse dance forms.  Francesca Marinaro created the company to bring to audiences the fusion of dance genres and universal cultures.  Art, poetry, and multimedia are other mediums used by the company to further explore the unity of all art and expression.  It is the mission of FuSia Dance Co. to share the art of dance with the community and educate the future generations of dancers in an  environment in which they can flourish and grow artistically; where artistic process is celebrated and emphasized.

Since the establishment of FuSia Dance Center in 2011, the students have had the opportunity to work with many prestigious guest artists as well as studying under the incredible FuSia staff.  The fantastic team of professionals work to educate the dancers in the specific areas of their expertise. Miss Adriana Stigliano (Musical Theater, Music Together, hip hop, dance basics) Miss Bridget Catania ( ballet, creative movement, dance basics & tap; company assistant director ), Miss Courtney Kay (ballet & pointe), Miss Nicole Guzman ( hip hop, contemporary & jazz), Mr. Joseph Ambrosia ( Tap, contemporary & theater) Mr. Simon Pheonix (breakdancing). Miss Francesca spends her teaching time all across the board as she enjoys her classes with the young new dancers of the dance basics groups and all levels of modern and jazz; along with directing the ever growing FuSia dance company kids.

         Over the years the students have been fortunate enough to work with prominent guest artists who have set original works on the dancers including choreographers Angelina Wolf, Jamie Drye, Courtney Kay, Ganene McGrath, Moira Ryan, Kristina Ranke, Samantha Jones, Teale Nattress, Koryn Wicks, Emily Perkins & more.

Francesca Marinaro has an impressive resume of work while studying her BA in Dance at DeSales university, artists include... Trinette Singleton, Sean Curran , Eddie Taketa of Doug Varone and Dancers, Lynne Mariani, Janet Peck, J.T. Jenkins, Kate Jewitt of Shen Wei Dance Arts and Nicole Wilcott of Keigwan and Company.  Francesca's choreography was featured in main stage productions at the university as well as in recent alumni concerts. Francesca danced professionally with Annex Dance CompAny of Charleston, SC under direction of Kristin Fieseler. Francesca has taught various movement courses at Northampton Commumity College as well as many adult fitness classes over the years.

Francesca is also the co-artistic director of Drye/Marinaro Dance Company since 2011. Based out of NYC, the contemporary modern company has presented work all over the tri-state area as well in major cities, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Charlotte, NC. The most wonderful part of the professional company is the influence it provides for the FuSia dance company students who have had  the opportunity to train with these dancers and hopefully one day dance alongside them.

After 14 years of dance teaching under her belt , she has grown FuSia Dance Co. to immense heights and it still is just the beginning.
The  FuSia Dance Co. has performed all throughout the community including the Sherman Theater, the Philadelphia Dance Collective, Pirouettes in the Park Festival, and many other local and regional schools and festivals.  FuSia Dance Co. supports the community through various fundraisers including Shawnee Riverfest benefiting the E Stroudsburg Salvation Army, and The Red Cross Telethon among others.  You can also catch the FuSia Dance Co. in the televised St. Patricks Day Parade on March 20th on Channel 13.  To learn more about this amazing company and school please visit www.fusiadance.org or search them socially under Fusia Dance on Facebook and Instagram.
