PRLog -- The quick rise in the polls for Senator Ted Cruz may have been short lived. His numbers seem to have plateaued in Iowa and South Carolina and a resurgence of energy emerges for Dr. Ben Carson who is now in second place in the newest CBS/New York Times poll in South Carolina and closely behind Cruz in Iowa where Dr. Carson has gained back lost ground in recent days since his trip to Jordan to meet with Syrian refugees displaced from their homeland. The Daily Beast, Politico and several other news organizations have lambasted Ted Cruz as being someone who stretches the truth or as the Daily Beast writer Ann Marie Cox outright calls Cruz a "liar." The media has also pushed the point that Cruz may not be eligible to serve as president because he was born in Canada and is not a "naturally born citizen" of the United States. Which typically is believed to be a person born in the United States or on a United States military post or territory, although this issue has never been brought before the courts it still could prove to dismantle his bid to become the next president of the United States if he is chosen as the nominee and the Clinton camp challenges him in a court of law. With tensions high after Donald Trump's remarks about keeping all Muslims out of America temporarily Marco Rubio has also seen his numbers improve against Cruz do to his outspoken rhetoric against Trump something Cruz has not done to this point in the campaign. Ben Carson looks toward the CNN debate December 15th to regain more of the ground he lost against Cruz over the last few weeks and Senator Marco Rubio surely has his sights set on Ted Cruz for the third place spot in South Carolina in hopes to gain more ground nationally. Ted Cruz will try to hold on to his short lived rise in the polls as he hobbles into the debate Tuesday in Las Vegas.
