Turning Teen helps with "The Talk"

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. - Nov. 11, 2015 - PRLog -- Turning Teen is in the news again helping parents have "the talk" with their daughters.  Lisa Klein, and Carrie Leff, two pediatricians and the creators of Turning Teen, developed a new business for moms of tween daughters to help start the conversation about puberty.

"As doctors, we are very well versed in talking about bodies, puberty and sex," Klein said. "In the office and amongst friends, we hear moms having difficulty using correct names for body parts and explaining how babies are made. We noticed that amazing moms, out of fear for saying the wrong thing, retreated to saying nothing at all."

Leff said, "The earlier a girl understands how her body works, the less embarassed she will be and the more respect and self-confidence she will have for her body."

Turning Teen offers workshops much more inviting and interactive than sex-ed classes in schools, and with fresh, modern ways to engage the girls. Leff and Klein strongly believe parents needs to teach their children, before their friends or the Internet get to them first.
