FORT WORTH, Texas - Sept. 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Blackbox concerts and Dukes Dallas Car Club hosted their first collaborative car show on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at The Grotto in Fort Worth. The event, which featured the Vixen Squad pinup models from Wicked West Photography, music, and free liquor courtesy of Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey, was followed by a rock concert. Bobby Landgraf, guitarist for headlining act Honky, served as a guest judge, along with Dukes President Louie “Califas” Chacon, and Dukes Vice President, Steve “Lolow” Sanchez.

Winning vehicles included Gabriel Salazar’s Chevy Impala and, from the Fort Worth Classics Car Club, Rick Meza’s El Camino.  Strictly Familia Car Club Vice President, Ruben Cardenas’ 1948 Buick was barely nudged out of the top placings.  His car, named “El Viejo” after a term of endearment for his late father, is dedicated to the memory of his father, and his father-in-law, who recently passed away after battling cancer.

The winning team of Barb Pen and Bryan Townsen, claimed Best of Show with their 1932 Ford Coupe.   “The Blackbox-Dukes car show was good times indeed! Sweet rides, pretty girls, great music, and good people,” Barb says.  “You know it’s going to be a good time when you’re greeted by a warm smile, a couple of cold beers, and the words “Welcome Home” upon arrival!”, adds Bryan.

“That’s what love and support is: From Dallas to Fort Worth, that’s how we come together in the car scene. It’s always good to meet new people,“ shared Dukes Dallas club president, Califas. “Thank you to all involved! Dukes for Life!”

Following the success of the car show, Blackbox will be reaching out to Dukes for future car shows in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, keeping in line with their mission to create entertaining music centered events in the Metroplex.
