Follow on Google News | Broomfield Teen Makes Wishes Come TrueMaya Claridge partners her fundraising campaign for the Big Talent Showcase with the Make-A-Wish foundation.
By: Maya Claridge Make-A-Wish Foundation Performing since she was eight years old, Claridge has a tenacious appetite for the arts and a commitment level uncommon for her age. Represented by Big Fish Talent in Denver, Claridge spends all of her time auditioning, filming, training and singing. "Every minute of every day is a chance for me to become better at what I love to do," she says. "Performing is all I want to do." The entertainment industry isn't cheap which is why Claridge began a fundraising campaign to help achieve her goals. "Other kids sell raffle tickets, girl scout cookies, coupon books or wrapping paper. I ask for sponsorship. It's all a form of fundraising to help take the next step toward your goal," Claridge says. And in pursuing her goals she aims to give back to the community by donating a percentage of the earnings from her campaign to the Make-A-Wish foundation. "In making my wishes come true I want to help another child make their wish a reality," Claridge explained. "I truly believe that together we can make a difference." Claridge is currently filming three independent films in Denver and Colorado Springs, recently performed at the Northglenn Fourth of July Festival and at the 2015 Opening Ceremony of Thunder Baseball.
