CONTROVERSIAL REALITY TV STAR SLAM DUNKS NEW PRODUCTION

DETROIT, Michigan, June 12/PRNewswire/ReMARKable Productions is proud to present reality star, Jackie Christie (Basketball Wives L.A.) and R&B legend Tony Terry as the stars in the upcoming stage production Woman Misled on June 19-20 at the Detroit School of Arts’ Ford Auditorium.

Written by Mark Hunter, Woman is the story of two women who have been raised to fend for themselves. Checkita’s father instilled a "dog-eat-dog" philosophy in his little girl that challenged her ability to embrace her role as a wife and mother. When the family is faced with tough times, she resorts to her old ways, but will her efforts cost her everything.  As a child Angie was abandoned and fell into the hands of an older man who taught her how to survive in "His" world, but she lacked the skill to truly live in the real world. She has devoured every man in her path, until she meets Mario, a single father who she falls for...Can she find the strength to change or will her chaotic life send his spiraling out of control?

Hot off the heels of his first touring show (Mama, Are There Any Men Left), Mark Hunter is back in the “D” to give theater audiences more laughs, more drama, and more of the entertainment that they have come to appreciate from ReMARKable Productions.

Known for her “straight – no chaser” approach, Jackie Christie is arguably the most controversial cast member on VH1’s Basketball Wives reality TV show. Her tenacity has allowed her to sustain a 19 year marriage to retired L.A. Laker Doug Christie, outlast ten previous cast members in addition to having had careers as a model, book author, and a fashion designer.

A graduate of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, Tony Terry has come a long way from the days of backup singing in the 80s to the R&B legend and solid stage actor of today. Best known for his 90s hit “With You”, Terry has also performed on the soundtracks of the hit movies Gladiator, Tap and King’s Ransom. His acting credits include a feature role in Sisterella, (co-produced by Michael Jackson); Mama, I Want To Sing'  and David E. Talbert's His Woman, His Wife, co-starring Stephanie Mills.

Hunter has also enlisted the assistance of notable and nationally toured playwright, Shelly Garrett(Beauty Shop) in addition to a host of solid local actors. WOMAN MISLED is not just a play...it's life on stage!
