Online Comedy Festival Goes Live and Gets a New Name

SAN FRANCISCO - June 11, 2015 - PRLog -- Making Light Comedy Fest presents its first live event

September 26th at 7:30 pm

San Francisco, CA - Attended by thousands across the globe online, this comedy festival has just gotten a name upgrade, a new website, and its first live show. Making Light Comedy Fest will feature comedy and music and touch on themes of awakening, and social and environmental awareness. Organized by comedian Alicia Dattner, the event will be in part a benefit for SaveNature.org, a non-profit dedicated to preservation of the rainforest and coral reef across the globe. The aim is to literally save the world by sitting around and laughing.

This event previously debuted in 2013 as The Spiritual Comedy Festival and was briefly called Laughing Buddha Comedy Fest and now has a completely new name and a new face. The entire festival takes an irreverent yet loving look at spirituality and hopes to "incense the enlightened and enlighten the incensed."
