Family Food Fest Atlanta Makes Debut at Georgia Aquarium Father's Day June 21

Multicultural famiiy Father's Day Celebration from 3-6 p.m. features a Kids Zone, Health Pavilion and 100 men from celebrity chefs to everyday dads cooking from appetizers to desserts. It also features some of the top female chefs in Atlanta.

ATLANTA - June 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Atlanta, GA – Television and radio personality Egypt Sherrod, will serve as guest mistress of ceremonies, WSB TV 2 reporter Tom Jones as guest master of ceremonies and Beth Spangler a contestant on The Voice will perform as a diverse representation of men  and women cooks from communities across Atlanta join local celebrities, politicians, and other dignitaries on Sunday, June 21 from 3-6 p.m. at the world famous Georgia Aquarium for the debut of Family Food Fest,  Atlanta’s premiere multicultural Father’s Day celebration. The Aquarium is located at 365 Ivan Allen Jr.. Blvd. NW, Atlanta 30313.

Family Food Fest was created to offer an annual multicultural, family-oriented experience where local men and women can come together to show off their cooking skills, raise money for local charities, and celebrate strong father’s,” says event manager, Diane Larche´. “We are extremely excited about launching this spectacular event at the Georgia Aquarium; it’s the perfect location to provide bring together good food, entertainment and family.”

In addition to an opportunity to sample an assortment of dishes prepared by professional and self-proclaimed master chefs from all walks of life, the three-hour charity event will feature a health pavilion, a kid’s zone and live musical performances featuring various genres. There will be a silent auction and give-aways that include a stay at Breezes Resort & Spa in Nassau Bahamas, and round trip airline tickets on Southwest Airlines, Kiss 104.1 FM Flashback Festival concert tickets to see Chaka Khan, S.O.S. Band, Sheila E and Slick Rick.

Tickets can be purchased online at familyfoodfestatlanta.com or in person at Who’s Got Soul Southern Café, in Dekalb and Lawrenceville, Nancy’s Pizza Midtown, FootFittR in Emory, Rick’s Barber & Beauty in Southwest Atlanta, and Medu Bookstore at Greenbriar Mall.

Professional Chefs on hand to flaunt their culinary skills for the occasion include Chef Idris Muhammad, executive chef at Neiman Marcus Café, Lenox Square; Chef Keith Kash, Who’s Got Soul Southern Café and Café 55 at Atlanta City Hall; Chef Jermaine Bethea; Peter Thomas of Real Housewives of Atlanta and Peters Brew Coffee; and Master Mixologists Tiffanie Barriere and Tokiwa Sears who will do nonalcoholic beverage demos.

“There is still time for men and women to sign on to showcase their cooking skills and be a part of the celebration- you don’t have to be a professional chef either,” said Kevin Ashford, spokesman for Family Food Fest. “Also, this is not only a fun and tasty charity event celebrating fatherhood, the Georgia Aquarium is one of Atlanta’s most prominent attractions and provides an enjoyable learning experience for the entire family. ”
