International Pageant names 2015 South Carolina Winners

Madison Cox, 16, of Duncan, SC, claimed the title of Miss Teen South Carolina International 2015, and Emma Webb, 19, of Greer, SC, took home the coveted title of Miss South Carolina International 2015 at the South Carolina International Pageant.
 
CHARLESTON, S.C. - May 20, 2015 - PRLog -- Madison Cox, 16, of Duncan, SC, claimed the title of Miss Teen South Carolina International 2015, and Emma Webb, 19, of Greer, SC, took home the coveted title of Miss South Carolina International 2015 at the South Carolina International Pageant, held April 18, 2015, at Charleston Music Hall in downtown Charleston, SC.

Cox and Webb were among the fourteen Teen and ten Miss contestants from all over the state to participate. Areas of competition included interview, fitness wear, fun fashion, and evening gown. The South Carolina International Pageants system is the premier pageant competition for young women in South Carolina who live healthy lives, serve as positive role models, and are dedicated to worthy causes.

Cox and Webb will represent the state of South Carolina at the International Pageant in Jacksonville, FL, this July where they will compete for the titles of Miss Teen International 2015 and Miss International 2015, respectively, against other young women from the U.S. and countries around the world.

"Both Madison and Emma are upstanding young women," said Tiffany Carnahan, Executive Director. "They are shining examples of what our pageant stands for, and we are extremely proud to have them representing our organization and our state at the national competition this year."

Cox also won the Teen Photogenic and Physical Fitness awards, and Webb also received the Miss Photogenic, Interview, and Evening Gown awards.

The remainder of the Top 5 in the Miss Teen Division included: 1st Runner Up - Kristina Sisk-Vazquez, Miss Teen Upstate International; 2nd Runner Up - Allison St. Clair, Miss Teen Grand Strand International; 3rd Runner Up - CeCe Hensley, Miss Teen Fort Mill International; 4th Runner Up - Aubree Johnson, Miss Teen Lowcountry International.

The remainder of the Top 5 in the Miss Division included: 1st Runner Up - Emily Galphin, Miss Upstate International; 2nd Runner Up - Bonnie Walls, Miss Powdersville International; 3rd Runner Up - Sophia Mungo, Miss Myrtle Beach International; 4th Runner Up - Ellen Neely, Miss Lexington International.

This year's sponsors and supporters included: Publish Pros, UniMedia, Foxy Lady, Curls & Crowns, Art Mecca of Charleston, Azure Swimwear, Amanda Ferguson Photography, Goodwin Photography, Dick Stevens Photography, Krausmann Photography, The Competitive Image, Planet Fitness, Three Monkey Designs, and Younique by Bethanie Kenderdine, with services provided by hair and makeup artist Sherri Jessee, walking coach Michelle Wood, and interview coach Deb Sofield, and meals provided by Joe Pasta and Black Bean Company. The combined value of this year's prize package was over $27,500.

The International System was established more than 20 years ago to adhere to a higher standard than other systems. South Carolina International seeks more than a pretty face. Winners have beauty, depth, and are committed to their communities. Like all pageants in the International System, contestants compete in fitness wear rather than swimsuits. The emphasis is on healthy lifestyle choices in accordance with the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign, with which the pageant system holds a national alliance.
