SPRING, Texas - Dec. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- On December 2 2014, the International Erosion Control Association (IECA) announced the winner of the Young Professional of the Year Award via email, sent to Brad Flack (CPESC, CESSWI), President of Storm-Tex Services of Spring Texas.

IECA's annual conference draws thousands of professionals in the erosion and sediment control industry from around the world each year, and Flack said he was honored just to be nominated, let alone to win the award.

The Environmental Connection Conference is a 4-day event that provides peer–reviewed education, products and technology which address four educational tracks:

> Erosion and Sediment Control

> Stormwater Management

> Surface Water Restoration

> MS4 Management

Environmental Connection 2015 will be a co-located event with the Industrial Fabrics Association International's Geosynthetics 2015. Attendees will have access to both associations' educational offerings.

The IECA is devoted to helping members solve the problems caused by erosion and its byproduct-sediment. The organization is made up of 2,500 members who specialize in stormwater management and natural resource protection.

According to Flack "It's an honor to have been nominated and even more so to have been chosen as the award winner. The IECA is a key piece of my success as a professional. The educational content, the professional networking, and the public platform give me an edge up over my competitors. To be acknowledged for hard work and giving back to the storm water and erosion control industry is the icing on the cake."
