Detectamet’s New Ticket Dispensers Improve Hygiene and Reduce Waste

YORK, U.K. - Nov. 24, 2014 - PRLog -- Write-on tickets play an important part in HACCP Management, Traceability and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in Food Processing. They record data on work-in-progress as it moves from process to process.

Detectamet supplies a range of heat resistant metal detectable Keyhole & Loop labels in a choice of colours that can be written on using permanent markers. The detectability reduces the risk of contamination, the colour choice helps to identify product and batch sequences in the process and the heat tolerance (up to 150°C) makes them ideal for use in bake and cook areas.

“Customers have told me how useful our labels are, but they needed a way to dispense them that was practical and suitable for food process environments.” Said Sean Smith Detectamet’s CEO. “Our new Stainless Steel Dispensers enable the labels to be used hygienically with no fuss and no waste and they protect the labels from contamination.”

There are four designs of dispenser available ‘off the shelf’. Two are designed for the large 50mm wide labels and two for the 25mm wide label.  The single reel dispensers will hold a single reel of 500 labels and there are multi-reel versions that will hold and dispense up to eight reels.

“I remember visiting a food process site that used our labels.” Sean described “They had several narrow labels and one wide label hung on a broom handle suspended on wire. That is why we also offer tailor made dispensers to suit any combination of label size and any numbers of reels.”

These units can be screw mounted onto walls using the keyhole slots in the back. They are made in Britain from high quality 304 Grade Stainless Steel with an option to specify 316 Grade stainless steel when necessary.  The designs feature a hinged top lid secured by top latches for quick and easy refilling.

The designs are perfect for production areas, food service, shipping rooms, retail, and industrial applications and anywhere a simple label dispenser is needed.  The easy to clean design and the hygienic stainless steel means that it is inert, resists chemical and impact damage and above all it offers a much better equipment life cycle cost
