100% of all proceeds from the event benefit the Latino Commission on AIDS. In New York City alone, over 37,000 Latinos live with HIV/AIDS.  Early sexual activity is also a risk factor for contracting HIV, and among sexually active students, Hispanics were the least likely to report using a condom. “Although we have made progress in the areas of HIV prevention and education we still have a lot of work to do,” says Guillermo Chacon, President of the Latino Commission on AIDS. “This landmark 5 year anniversary of Bailando Por Una Causa takes us one step closer in promoting awareness and HIV testing needed to achieve the end of AIDS in the United States.”
