ATLANTA - Sept. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- Atlanta, Ga. – Sept. 11, 2014 – Marking the fifth year since its founding, Georgia Massage School will begin classes for its next comprehensive massage therapy program on September 22, 2014. Taught by renowned instructors, these massage therapy courses are offered in a convenient half-day schedule and will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., Monday through Friday.

With the start of courses on September 22, Georgia Massage School will welcome its 20th class of students for its 500-hour massage therapy program. Delivering a high-quality skill set in the shortest time allowable by the state, the Atlanta-area massage school (http://www.georgiamassageschool.com/) enables busy working adults and parents to quickly become successful board-certified massage therapists upon graduation in March 2015.

Students participating in the massage therapy program will enroll in four core classes, including an Introductory Course, Lower Extremity Course, Axial Skeleton Course and an Upper Extremity Course. All massage therapy courses are taught by the school’s co-founders Laurie Craig and Rick Garbowski, who set out five years ago to establish one of the top massage schools in Atlanta. Both are lifetime educators and recipients of esteemed industry awards, such as the American Massage Conference National Educator of the Year award won by Craig in 2007 and the American Massage Therapy Association National Teacher of the Year award won by Garbowski in 2013.

Program courses will focus on anatomy and physiology, as well as advanced massage therapy concepts and techniques such as pregnancy massage, hydrotherapy massage, reflexology, sports massage and more. Massage instructors (http://www.georgiamassageschool.com/massage-instructors) will also teach students core muscle exercises that will help increase stamina and strength.

“Every day at Georgia Massage School, we strive to do ordinary things extraordinarily well,” said Garbowski. “With that in mind, Laurie and I not only instruct our students, we coach them. Using our streamlined, advanced curriculum and strengthening techniques, we give our students the knowledge and capability to succeed in their future endeavors.”

Since its first massage therapy program began in 2009, Georgia Massage School has successfully placed its graduates in a number of relevant professions in private practices, chiropractors’ offices, and even the professional sports industry.

One of the top massage schools in Atlanta, Georgia Massage School is approved by the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy, the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission, as well as the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. The massage therapy program is also approved for Veterans Education Benefits.
