Aug. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- Atlanta, Ga. – Aug. 18, 2014 – Georgia Massage School has announced a variety of massage continuing education classes (http://www.georgiamassageschool.com/massage-continuing-education) available this fall for licensed massage therapists who need to meet credit requirements. All massage therapists who wish to renew their licenses in the state of Georgia must earn 24 continuing education credits by Oct. 31, 2014.

Regarded as one of the top massage schools in Georgia, the Atlanta-based institution offers diverse classes, each of which is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). Licensed therapists can register to receive advanced education and training in a number of areas, including Integrative Reflexology Certification, Tian Di Bamboo Massage and Cupping, Active Isolated Stretching (A.I.S.) and The Lower Body, and Chinese Facial Massage and TMJ Techniques.

All massage continuing education classes at Georgia Massage School are taught by a variety of experts in the field, including celebrated instructor Whitney Lowe. His class, which focuses on treatment strategies for the lower back, pelvis and lower extremities, is not available at any other massage schools in Georgia.

“We are proud to offer courses instructed by renowned, trusted experts from around the country, who are presenting on a variety of topics,” said Laurie Craig, co-founder and instructor at the Atlanta-area massage school (http://www.georgiamassageschool.com/). “Through these courses, we hope to help massage therapists not only meet their continuing education requirements, but also their own personal and professional goals.”

Craig, who founded Georgia Massage School with fellow educator Rick Garbowski in 2009, has been recognized with a number of industry awards, including the 2007 American Massage Therapy Association National Teacher of the Year award and the 2011 American Massage Conference National Educator of the Year award. Garbowski has also been honored with a multitude of awards, including the 2013 American Massage Therapy Association National Teacher of the Year award and the 2013 President’s Award granted by the Florida State Massage Therapy Association. Both lifetime educators, the two have established one of the top massage schools in Georgia, where students can quickly learn a high-quality massage therapy skill set from experienced instructors.

In addition to its massage continuing education classes, the school offers a 500-hour massage therapy training program, which features introductory and advanced curriculum provided in a convenient, half-day schedule. Georgia Massage School is approved by the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy, the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission, as well as the NCBTMB.
