About Chef’s Roll
NEW! Chef’s Roll is the official culinary talent provider of Gourmetzia 2014.
Known as the “LinkedIn for Chefs,” Chef’s Roll is the new online marketing network for culinary professionals. Based in La Jolla, California, Chef’s Roll was founded by industry veterans Thomas Keslinke and Frans van der Lee. They discovered that most chefs are too busy and too underpaid to afford the time and money required for building an online presence so they decided to develop their own affordable digital network for chefs. The site charges $19 a month or ($99 a year) for the online profile pages that can include a biography, resume, videos, photos, awards and more. The website - named for the roll-up knife bag that chefs carry with them from job to job - also has a jobs board and a growing industry events calendar.
