RE: Unpublish article (www.examiner.com/article/elias-music-library-partners-with-tongal-editors-vie-for-2014-tesla-model-s), plagiarism and/or unoriginal content and Official Resignation as Hollywood Events Examiner and LA County Events Examiner

Dear Mr. Horan,

After A couple of months of thinking, brainstorming and consulting with various colleagues in print, broadcast, and online, I am responding to your email dated 4-30-2014. As you may see from the attached email, you email me stating that I have published an article that I may have committed plagiarism and/or used unoriginal content. I want to share with you that I was given the “Exclusive” to publish the article on Examiner.com. However, as you may know, in this industry sometimes things get leaked and that is what happened in this case. Anyway, without accepting any blame, I am officially ending my relationship with AXS Digital Group LLC d/b/a Examiner.com formerly Clarity Digital Group, LLC, and hereby give you my resignation.

As you may know, as an independent contributor and writer for Examiner.com we did not receive any set payment for our contributions/efforts, and I feel I went above and beyond in promoting and covering events for your brand at many events. I even had professional editing proof readers, photographers and videographers going with me on the field to cover events for Examiner.com

I also know that you wanted “Exclusivity", but some of the newsmakers and shakers that I encounter in my journalism life requested to be published in various online mediums because that gives them “Exposure”. I am also aware of Google News rules and your organization's requirements, but sometimes is hard for us the contributors to abide by those rules because of what the newsmakers, shakers, publicists and promoters want in return for covering their events.

I was writing for your online site during my free time because otherwise it did not pay my bills to survive and I had to take a full time job in the Healthcare Finance Field.

I ask you to allow me about 1 – 3 months to remove on my social media, email signatures, websites any mentioning as current Hollywood and Los Angeles County Events Examiner contributor for Examiner.com It will reflect former Hollywood and Los Angeles County Events Examiner for Examiner.com.

I am not resigning due to the above reasons. As you may know if you have searched my background, I am the President and Executive Editor In-Chief from DiversityNewsMagazine.com as well as the President of DiversityNewsPublications.com, and I feel I need to focus more on those online media websites.  I also will be open to other opportunities in the industry and I currently have other media affiliations; a relationship with Yahoo.com Contributor Network, CNN.com iReport, and Tehran International Weekly Magazine in which I contribute special coverage. I joined Examiner.com when it was Clarity Digital Group, LLC and now it is AXS Digital Group LLC. It has been a beautiful ride with lots of late nights of researching, editing and writing articles with wonderful memories that will last for a lifetime. These I will not forget. I want to keep our relationship open for any future special paid projects that your organization may need in the Hollywood/Los Angeles area.

I wish your organization continued success, and I want to thank you for allowing me to be a part of a great team that makes a difference by helping others in the entertainment industry. Please feel free to contact me any time at (213) 321-9408 or (818) 787-1249 if I can be of further assistance.

Sincerely,

ESTEBAN ESCOBAR
