BBS, Inc. Looks Forward To A Weekend Full Of Smiles!

BOSTON - Aug. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- BBS, Inc. is a marketing and sales company in Woburn, MA.  This weekend the company is planning a charity event for Operation Smile.  On Friday, BBS, Inc. is traveling and selling business to business in hopes to collect donations for the foundation.  On Saturday and Sunday from 5-8 PM there will be an Operation Smile table set up with various games for all ages at Faneuil Hall Market Place in Boston, MA.

BBS, Inc. Boston’s Sales Representatives along with some family and friends will host these games and all of the money and donations will go to Operation Smile.  BBS, Inc. is hoping to raise over $5,000 for the event.  One life changing surgery costs $240.  When BBS, Inc. achieves their financial goal; their donation money will drastically improve the lives of twenty individuals.

According to the Operation Smile Foundation Website, “Operation Smile is a pioneer in advocating for the importance of safe surgery in resource poor environments and is the largest surgical charity of its kind, leading research into the causes of cleft lip and cleft palate, and its prevention, treatment and eradication.  Every three minutes a child is born with a cleft. A child with a cleft has twice the odds of dying before their first birthday. Children with cleft conditions who survive may have difficulty eating, speaking, hearing or breathing properly. In some places, they are shunned and rejected. And in too many cases, their parents can't afford the surgeries they need to live a productive life.”

Operation Smile is the “largest volunteer- based children’s medical charity.”  The Non-Profit foundation has provided 220,000 free life-changing surgeries for all ages.  Even though the surgery will take a total of 45 minutes, it gives individuals more confidence as well as a better life.
