About Summer Streets
Summer Streets NYC is an annual festival taking place this year on August 2nd, 9th, and 16th that celebrates – and utilizes – the city’s most valuable public space: our streets. Modeled after other events around the world such as the Paris Plage in France, it spans from the Brooklyn Bridge to Central Park, along Park Avenue and connecting streets, with easy access from all points in New York City. Its offerings range from food to musical performances to interactive activities like a zipline and climbing wall. Its many offerings encourage New Yorkers to interact and use more sustainable forms of transportation.
