Operation Legal Eagle is a Success

July 31, 2014 - PRLog -- Atlanta, GA July 2014—On July 23, the employees of the Legal Department from the Home Depot Store Support Center showed their support for our troops during their Annual Legal Affairs meeting. The event, endearingly entitled “Operation Legal Eagle,” was a collaborative effort from HeroBox and the leadership of the Legal team members.

A portion of the Legal meeting was dedicated to honoring our service members, through a presentation of the colors by the 92^nd Engineer Battalion color guard and a current Home Depot team member singing the National Anthem. From there, the 250 Legal Affairs employees gathered together to assemble 500 HeroBoxes to ship to deployed service members in Afghanistan. The HeroBoxes were shipped to a total of 10 individual units and represented three branches of the Armed Forces.

Ryan Housley, Herobox Executive Director is “thrilled with the success of the event. Packing 500 Heroboxes with top shelf donations, like Mary Kay Suncare, to be shipped to our deployed service members is incredible.” Herobox is thankful for the generosity of the Home Depot employees and their mission to serve the military and veterans across the country.

Herobox is a nonprofit organization with a mission to provide the physical and moral support our heroes need while they are away from home. We are able to achieve this mission through programs that are designed to engage America’s greatest resource—the people.
