PRLog - Jul. 23, 2014 - PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- President of Elite Consulting Inc., Bryan Powlen is training hard on the field and training even harder in the office. Bryan graduated from Brown University in 2010 with a degree in Chemistry. He decided to use his talents in a business atmosphere and interviewed for an entry level account manager position. After time went by and Bryan showed his hard work and dedication to the company, he was promoted to a leadership role and then to a management role. After the goals were met, he took over the location when we expanded into the Boston market.
Although Bryan is extremely dedicated to his company, he is also dedicated to training for the Olympics. Bryan takes throwing discus to a whole new level, he is on a extreme work out routine, along with daily practicing. Track and Field was started on January 30th, first known as the Amatuer Athletic Union (AAU) in 1878 and in 1992, the name was changed to USA Track & Field (USATF) to increase recognition for the organization and the sport in the United States. The men's competition has been a part of the modern summer olmypic games since the first Olympiad in 1896. The discus throw has always been an iconic part of the Olympics Games, even as recently as the main logo for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. In order to qualify for the Olympics in track and field, each person much place in the top 3 during the Olympics Trials of the country, which takes place a month before the Olympics.
Bryan recently competed at the USA Outdoor Championships, where the top 18 competitors in the United States face off. Bryan finished the competition with a throw of 61.05 meter (200'3"), which led him to taking home the silver medal that day. Bryan Powlen is looking more and more like a potential Olympian come 2016.
