On June 3, the Philadelphia Commercial Subgroup of the Diversified Investors Group welcomes Bill Clement.  Bill Clement is a critically acclaimed broadcaster, actor, entrepreneur and writer. He is also a two-time Stanley Cup Champion who had to rebuild his life after complete financial and emotional defeat. Bill continues to inspire and entertain international audiences.

We will also be welcoming Anne Bovaird Nevins.  Beginning in 1958 as a non-profit joint venture between the City of Philadelphia and the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, PIDC is Philadelphia’s economic development corporation. In the past 55 years, PIDC has invested more than $11.4 billion in Philadelphia supporting $21 billion of total project costs. Currently managing a diverse loan portfolio in excess of $600 million, PIDC brings years of experience and a wealth of knowledge to structuring real estate and financing transactions that attract investment and create and retain jobs in the City of Philadelphia.

About Bill Clement:

About Anne Bovaird Nevins:

As Senior Vice President of Market Development, Anne Bovaird Nevins is responsible for managing PIDC's marketing and communications, business development, and client relations initiatives and supervises a staff of five.  Ms. Nevins also develops and manages PIDC’s relationships with clients in the corporate and commercial development sector, including office, retail and hospitality businesses and development projects.  In addition to overseeing PIDC’s efforts to retain Philadelphia’s major corporate tenants, Ms. Nevins works in close partnership with the City and other economic development partners to market Philadelphia as a smart location for business and to attract new companies and developers.

From 1999 to 2001, Ms. Nevins served in the White House Office of Cabinet Affairs, which is responsible for coordination between the President and all cabinet agencies.  She then joined the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games and managed the logistical and hospitality arrangements for all U.S. dignitaries attending the Olympics.  Ms. Nevins then returned to her native city of Philadelphia and managed corporate sponsorships for the Kimmel Center, Philadelphia’s regional performing arts center.  She next served as Director of Development for Historic Philadelphia, Inc. and raised substantial funds to renovate Franklin Square, an 8-acre urban park in the center of Philadelphia’s historic district.  Ms. Nevins has a Masters in Business Administration from the Wharton School and a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
