The 2J66, 2J65, 2J47 and 2J86 ranges from 2J Antennas and distributed throughout Europe by ACTE are amongst the first to meet these demanding requirements. The IK09 classification is subject to dropping a 5KG object from a 20cm height onto an antenna.
The IP69K waterproof test of the antenna is according to DIN 40050. During tests the antenna is subjected to:
· 14-16 litres water per minute
· Hot water 80˚C
· Water pressure of 8000/1000kPa
· Cycle of 30 seconds
· Water jet test performed from all directions.
Building antennas to meet the demanding test specification was initially developed for applications fitted with Machine to Machine (M2M) and IoT telemetry equipment, subject to demanding cleanliness and industrial environments. Installations including; food plants, medical equipment, roadside utility boxes and cabinets, watertight containers and trucks are all typical examples expected to see benefits.
David Taylor, PR Manager of ACTE comments “These antennas, built to exacting standards and certified to the new demanding classifications benefits users by ensuring their products meet customer expectations in industrial applications without needing a try it and see approach. The confidence and reassurance this creates ensures ACTE offers a solid, reliable range of antenna products for extremes of use.”
2J have established itself as a market leader within the antenna industry. As an engineering company, they have developed a diverse range of products and subsequently have taken on bespoke antenna projects for high profile companies such as Porsche and Sagem. With ISO/TS16949:
