MazeScroll Series, Inventing a New Game Genre

SEATTLE - March 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Is this the beginning of a new genre of games? The MazeScroll Series is a group of eight different maze puzzle games in the form of scrolls. They are pen and paper puzzle dice games for multiple players. MazeScrolls are puzzles, games, art, and interactive art all in one. And they will be offered by their creator, Maciek Jozefowicz, only via a pledge on Kickstarter until April 3.

What makes these puzzles different and unique is a combination of qualities taken from board games and pen and paper puzzles.MazeScrolls offer multiple players the intimacy and tactile experience of the pen and paper puzzle. They are multi-player games that are more than games. They are interactive art that is created by players as they play the games.

There are eight different MazeScrolls in the series. Each one uses different graphics and offers different play possibilities. All eight are original creations by the artist who has been developing theMazeScroll series since 2011 when he took a leftover roll of art paper and made his first hand-drawn maze puzzle in the form of a scroll.

Jozefowicz has made over 45 MazeScrolls since then, exploring different graphic styles, different lengths of scroll and different ways of playing. Of the 45, the artist chose 8 that represent his various experimentations. The eight MazeScrolls that make the MazeScroll Series are the following: (1) A Galaxy Far, Faar, Faaar Away, (2)Perimeter Perplexity, (3) De Stijl Mile, (4) Daedalus Treasure, (5)Lover's Duel, (6) Daedalus Palace, (7) Crossing and (8) Skritches, Skretches and Skrutches.
