From a technical perspective, there is a difference between an ‘electronic signature’ and a ‘digital signature’.
An electronic signature is any method used to sign an electronic message; it can range from an electronic record of a typed name or a handwritten signature.
A digital signature uses encryption technology to uniquely identify the signatory’s login details.Typically, digital signatures are “signed” by ticking a box, or submitting a form that acknowledges the acceptance of terms and conditions by the uniquely identifiable logged in user who has a unique username and password.
Legislative measures have also been taken regarding electronic signature due to the rise in e-commerce.
Based on this demand, ISOPro is pleased to announce the launch of our new electronic signature feature as part of our FORMS module. This new feature enables Forms to be signed using a stylus or finger on any mobile device, or using a pen tablet and mouse on a laptop. With the wave of rapid technological change and higher need for mobility in working environments, electronic signatures have become the convenient new way of signing within businesses.
