International Belly Dance Sensation Alla Kushnir Comes to Broward

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - Jan. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Hollywood, FL (January 21, 2014)- Internationally renowned belly dance star, Alla Kushnir, will perform live at Karu Fort Lauderdale, February 1, 2014 at 7:00pm.  Journeying all the way from the Ukraine, Alla will join South Florida’s finest belly dancers for an unforgettable evening.  The show is produced by the World of Movement Arts Network  (W.O.M.A.N.) in conjunction with the Goddess Store and Studio located in downtown Hollywood.

This Gala Dinner includes two very special belly dance shows, an exotic full course meal, hors d'oeuvres, soft drinks and two hours of open bar, plus a very special Champagne Toast to salute our honored guest, all our cast members, and especially our audience.

Alla Kushnir has danced since she was child, growing up in the Ukraine.  Where Alla grew up, a ship-building port called Nikolayev near the Black Sea, belly dance teachers were few and far between.  But Alla did not let that stop her; she followed her passion and began to study dance on her own.  Traveling to various cities in Russia and the Ukraine, Alla attended seminars wherever she could.  Over time, Alla went on to win numerous awards, including prestigious competitions in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, Russia, Lebanon and Berlin.  You can read more about Alla in Yallah Magazine and the New Times.

“The night will include performances from South Florida’s finest dancers, with a competition and show that the audience will remember for years to come,” said Maria Jammal, Creative Director.  Performers include Almaas, one of South Florida’s premiere dance troupes, as well as Alexandra, Adonia, Amara, Andrus Ramir, the Azhar Dance Ensemble, Cecibel, Hanan, Isis San Miguel, Jennifer, Jihan Jammal, Kalinka Volshaninova, Lamis, Nathalie, Nicole Castellanos, Nour el hana, RAKettes, Roshana Nofret, Valerick Molinary and many more!  A complete line of the area’s finest vendors will provide innovative products and services.

“Dancing is my passion, but sharing my art with other dancers truly makes it all worth while,” Alla explained.  Alla will provide dance workshops on February 1-2 to be at Karu.  Workshop space is limited, so please book in advance.
