A Tacori Engagement Ring Puts Lucky Lady on Cloud Nine

Jan. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- A high-flying proposal took place aboard an American Airways flight over the weekend, and an entire audience of passengers was left reaching for cameras and their tissues.

Student Stacey H. was just like any other passenger aboard flight 2399 this past weekend. She was just one of many traveling home to be with her family for the holidays. A grad student and the University of Texas, the Phoenix native had not seen her family members for almost a year.

“It was a very long year at school. It’s my first year as a grad student and the pressure was really on to excel,” stated the student. “There was just no time to go home or even have any visitors. It was a hard year not seeing anybody.”

Her family wasn’t the only people she had been missing however. Stacey also has a longtime boyfriend who has been deployed with the Army for the past 18 months overseas. “This was going to be my second Christmas without seeing him, and I wasn’t looking forward to it. Plus, I hadn’t even had any contact with him for over a week,” exclaimed Stacey. “I knew being home with my family would help, and I was really excited to get that day of traveling over with so I could be home!”

The flight had been in the air for approximately an hour when an announcement was made. A flight attendant revealed over the intercom that there were service men and woman aboard the flight who they wanted to give their thanks too. As a show of gratitude, the attendant asked all service members to stand and let everyone applaud them.

A man in the row directly in front of Stacey stood for the cheers. When he turned to look her way, she couldn’t believe her eyes. It was her very own soldier! He knelt in the aisle and asked for her hand in marriage with a Tacori engagement ring. Stacey happily said yes and flashed the diamond engagement ring for the cheering passengers to see.

The couple will spend the holidays with family and then return to Texas. A spring wedding is in the works. Not aboard a plane however.
