Uc Irvine Extension Introduces Linking Strategy To Business Process Optimization Courses

Course Tailored to Provide Insight on Aligning Strategy with Business Improvement Goals

IRVINE, Calif. - Dec. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- University of California, Irvine Extension (http://unex.uci.edu/) announced today the availability of its “Linking Strategy to Business Process Optimization” (http://unex.uci.edu/courses/sectiondetail.aspx?year=2014&term=Winter&sid=00116) online course, available from Feb. 3 to March 23, 2014. Designed for middle managers and business improvement practitioners, the course will partner the fundamentals of strategic planning with business process optimization. Primarily focused on strategy creation, mapping and alignment, and performance dashboard design, this course will help translate an organization’s mission and objectives into the appropriate strategies and initiatives required to improve a company as a whole.

       “We hope by offering a course that dives deeper into the strategic side of process optimization that business professionals will have the skills necessary to transform their companies by adopting new methodologies to achieve great results,” said Angela Jeantet, director of UC Irvine Extension’s education and business programs. “With course instructor Joe Kausek’s background in creating business improvement initiatives and programs, participants will not only gain insight to his leadership skills, but learn how to create business process transformations first-hand.”

       As part of the Business Process Optimization certificate program (http://unex.uci.edu/areas/business_mgmt/process_optimizat...), the course will provide knowledge to participants on how to address needs unique to a company and implement the appropriate methods and tools that will achieve goals and yield desired results. With a focus on creating strategies and solutions, the “Linking Strategy to Business Process Optimization” course will guide participants to design successful plans that will optimize businesses.

       Course instructor Kausek is currently the Director of Business Improvement and Total Quality Assurance for Ma’aden, a global mining company based in Saudi Arabia. Previously holding senior level management positions with Rio Tinto and Northrop Grumman and operating his own consulting firm, Kausek has had the opportunity to work with several Fortune 500 companies. He is recognized for leading and transforming several large, global organizations through business process optimization.
