Educational platform gathers momentum

Tortola Sailing school will be holding training workshops at all the BVI high schools encouraging young BVIslanders to train for a career in the marine industry.

The first workshops will be held during the month of November and the informal meetings will highlight the benefits of becoming a professional sailor, engineer or chef.

The school is looking to work with the public and private sector to secure scholarship grants to enable students to get the right training needed to make their first steps into the marine industry.

Tortola Sailing school offers MCA approved Introduction to boating, Flotilla skipper, Bareboat skipper, Small powerboat and Rib master, ICC, Navigation master and the  complete IYT Worldwide syllabus up-to Yacht-master offshore.
