Animal lovers and animal advocates will love October lineup!

DEERFIELD, Ill. - Sept. 23, 2013 - PRLog -- Keith Sanderson, President, Max A Pooch, Inc. (http://www.maxapooch.com) and creator and host of Max A Pooch's Awesome Animal Advocates said this, "Our October lineup of guests is sure to please animal advocates and animal lovers everywhere."

Guests include a spokesperson from the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS),  Dogs on the Move from Florida, an international celebrity from Colombia South America, and the president of a leading US Zoo.

Leading off the lineup on Oct 7 is Melanie Kahn, Director of the Anti Puppy Mill Campaign for HSUS. Kahn will discuss the impact that will occur now that the USDA will inspect the puppy mills that supply online sales of puppies. She also describes the horrific event that changed her career to become an advocate agaisnt puppy mills.

October 14 the Bonnie Plafke and Melissa Storkin discuss Dogs on the Move, an energetic and unique dog transporter company in southern Florida. Dogs on the Move has transported more than 2000 from overcrowded shelters to waiting adoptees. Plafkey and Storkin discuss how they medicate the dogs for heartroom and a special event they plan to hold in honor of the anniversary of Dogs on the Move in November.

Internationa celebrity and animal advocate Jimena Hoyos is the October 21 guest. She will discuss Gozques, a charity she founded in Colombia. This star of film and TV in both Colombia and the United States discusses what she is doing to help stray dogs in colombia, and the unique way she is using photogrpaphy of those dogs and recycled materials to help raise money for Gozques.

Sanderson says of Hoyos, "I nickname Jimena the guardian angel of the street dogs of Colombia.


On October 28 Mike Chowter, CEO/Pres. of the Indianapolis Zoo discusses The Indianapolis Prize, a $250,000 unrestricted gift that is given to a wining animal environalmentest/conservationalst. This is the largest prize of its kind in the world given to those who work on behalf of animals and the environment. There are 32 nominees from whose ranks six finalists will be selected. The winner will be selected from the six finalists.
