Sarasota County Bar Association Honors Shapiro Goldman Babboni & Walsh Intern

BRADENTON, Fla. - Sept. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Sara Calabrese,  Stetson College of Law student, employee and intern at injury law firm Shapiro Goldman Babboni & Walsh,  was honored by the Sarasota County Bar Association.

Sara W. Calabrese, a Candidate for Juris Doctor, Stetson University College of Law,  received a scholarship of 10 weeks experience working over the summer at a private law firm, or government agency. Recipients of the scholarship are also selecting to return to Sarasota to start their careers after graduation and will receive $4,000 towards furthering their education.

Attorney Bernard F. Walsh had this to say about about Calabrese, “We were heard about opportunity to bring an aspiring attorney-student on board we were very exited. Through years of working as an attorney representing people who need help defending their rights against more powerful interests, I have seen first hand the positive impact of having a strong, local legal system in our area has had, and the difference it can make in peoples lives. Nothing is more gratifying than helping to educate and train the next generation of attorneys, especially when those individuals have chosen to live and work in the Sarasota/Bradenton area.” Walsh continued, “Sara has shown great promise and become a valuable member of our team, we are looking forward to working with her in the future.”

Walsh of the Bradenton office, attended the honorary luncheon with Sara Calabrese, fellow scholarship recipient,   Dena Daniels as well as  Linda Harradine, Executive Director of Legal Aid of Manasota, and attorneys from other participating firms.
