MiN New York launches 'Members Only', new collection of limited edition collectible art objects

"When your candle is lit, the warm glow of the light will beautifully shine through," explains Murawczyk, Founder & CEO of MiN New York.  Bone china is a type of soft-paste porcelain that is composed of bone ash, feldspathic material and kaolin. It has been defined as ware with a translucent body containing a minimum of 30% of phosphate derived from animal bone and calculated calcium phosphate. Developed by English potter Josiah Spode, bone china is known for its high levels of whiteness and translucency, and very high mechanical strength and chip resistance.

The first series of MEMBERS ONLY features three designs from New York City:

UNION CLUB: Founded in 1836, The UNION CLUB is the first private club in New York and the third oldest in the United States. A men's-only establishment, members included Dwight Eisenhower, Ulysses Grant, William Randolph Hearst, John Jacob Astor IV, and Harold Vanderbilt.  Gentle smoke swirls in an opulent room of leather and balsamic woods, revealing a luxurious bouquet of airy fir needles, cedar leaves, and moss. Precious oud and exotic spices suddenly transport you to historical and powerful space.

CASA BLANCA: The infamous bootlegger, Larry Fay, was rumored to be the neighbor of Scott Fitzgerald. Referenced in The Great Gatsby, this 'Milkman' was also known for his fleet of whiskey-smuggling cabs. Unfortunately, Fay’s American dream came to an end when he was shot dead outside of his last grand speakeasy - CASA BLANCA - on New Year’s Day in 1933 by a disgruntled doorman. Evoked from the classic cocktails of the prohibition, CASA BLANCA is the scent of dark, aged spirits evaporated on wood. This nostalgic fragrance marks the end of the roaring twenties. Oak, labdanum, tobacco, moss, amber, and leather are garnished with an aromatic opening of bergamot and fresh herbs, spiked with just a dash of cloves.

MUDD CLUB: The downtown art crowd and the incubating punk scene gathered at MUDD CLUB, 77 White Street in SoHo, New York City for a few amazing years. Steve Mass, art curator Diego Cortez and downtown punk scene figure Anya Phillips opened the club in October 1978. An antidote to the uptown glitz of Studio 54 in the '70s”, MUDD CLUB featured a bar, gender-neutral bathrooms, and a rotating gallery curated by Keith Haring, live performances included new wave, experimental music, literary icons Allen Ginsberg and William Burroughs, and catwalk exhibitions for emerging fashion designers like Anna Sui and Jasper Conran. ‘Members’ of the MUDD CLUB included Manhattan's up-and-coming cult celebrities like Lou Reed, Johnny Thunders, The B-52's, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Madonna, Keith Haring, Betsey Johnson, Vincent Gallo, Andy Warhol, David Bowie, Frank Zappa, the Ramones, and Talking Heads. Saffron, rose, amber, and sweat transformed top notes of PASSION into CREATIVITY (dark woods, sharpies, and paint). Base notes of REBELLION are represented by vetiver, patchouli, tobacco, and leather.
