ERIE, Pa. - Aug. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- I used to struggle with weight loss (http://www.intermittentfasting4life.com/) just as most people do. Before I stumbled upon this new method of Eat Stop Eat, I would have to dramatically cut my calories and/or do intense exercise in order to lose a few pounds. This was no fun. I’m sure you have no strong desire to dramatically decrease your food intake or to exercise like a madman (not saying it’s a bad thing) and I’m sure you would like an easier method for losing weight. Everyone wants the quick-fix, the magic pill, but it doesn’t exist. However, I’ve come across something pretty damn close. If you are currently unhappy with your weight, I have some information for you that can change that. I’d like to help you on your journey towards a more fulfilling life! So here is what I recommend you do:

Instead of decreasing the number of calories you eat throughout the day, decrease the time-frame in which you eat those calories. For example, if you begin your day with breakfast at 7 AM and end with dinner at 7 PM, you then would be eating your calories in a 12 hour window. Instead, skip breakfast (This is actually a good thing. I suggest you read Brad Pilon’s Eat Stop Eat to learn more) and eat lunch and dinner only. Say you eat lunch at 11 AM and dinner at 7 PM. Now you have shortened your eating window to 8 hours instead of 12. This also means that you can eat more between the hours of lunch and dinner, because you will be at a caloric deficit from skipping breakfast. This can do wonders for your weight loss. As I mentioned earlier, I highly suggest you read ‘Eat Stop Eat (%20http:/www.eatstopeat.com/cb.php?hop=beaunorton)’ if you would like to learn the ins and outs of these methods.

Stop counting calories! Calories are not created equal. You could eat 2000 calories a day of strictly McDonald’s food and still lose weight, but you would not be healthy. Instead of counting calories, focus on the quality of the calories you are putting in your body. Try to eat as many nutrient dense foods as possible. These foods are usually low in calories also, so you will benefit greatly from them. Some examples of high quality calories are: Kale, Spinach, Broccoli, Almonds, Coconut, Avocados, Mangoes, Bananas, etc. Basically, anything that is natural and unprocessed is going to aid you in your weight loss.

Exercise, but don’t stress yourself out about it. Many people set goals for themselves to begin an exercise routine, but get overwhelmed by the amount of effort it requires. Remember, it is better to do something, no matter how small, than nothing at all. Begin slow. Walk for 5 minutes each day when you get home from work or whenever is convenient. Do this for a week or two, then bump the time up to 10 minutes. Continue to increase the amount of time until you get to 20 or 30 minutes a day. By this time, you will have made it a habit. Walking is actually very beneficial and some scientific studies have actually shown that walking has as many benefits, if not more, than running. The human body was designed to walk. Start with that. Eventually, you may find yourself wanting to partake in some more intense forms of exercise. The one small step that you take in the beginning will give you the momentum you need to continue to change your habits and lifestyle. Your body and mind will love you for it! Remember, the first step is the most important one!

Invest in your health! All too often people end up spending thousands of dollars and countless hours of their time on hospital visits because they failed to invest in their health early on. The truth is that disease is preventable 99.9% of the time. It begins with what you feed your body. However, many people don’t know what is healthy and what is not. If you don’t have much of an idea of what foods you should be eating or what nutritional products you should be buying, then you need to educate yourself. There are many good books out there on nutrition. One I highly recommend is "How to Eat, Move and Be Healthy!"
This book alone will tell you almost everything you need to know about health in general. Also, as mentioned previously, "Eat Stop Eat" is a great book for learning the proven method for losing weight fast, building muscle and enhancing your health all at the same time. The message I want to stress is this: Do not be afraid to invest in educating yourself on healthy practices or to spend money on quality foods and nutritional supplements. You can either pay the price now, or later. If you want free tips on how to be healthy, happy and successful, check out my blog at http://www.healthandhappinessfoundation.com
