Wakana Yokota’s Storyboards enrich The World of Visual Productions

LOS ANGELES - June 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Wakana Yokota, a storyboard artist originally from Tokyo, Japan, has resided in Los Angeles since 2007, developing storyboards that stand out for their originality and excellent visualization of shot descriptions.  Since living in Los Angeles, she has worked on projects ranging from feature films to commercials for some of the biggest companies and directors.  

Wakana produces excellent quality storyboards that are filled with a mixture of her versatile artistic skills and the distinct brush strokes she applies with her Wacom tablet. Working in digital has already become a trend among films productions, commercials, and TV, and the field of storyboard is no exception. Being capable of working in digital is a vital skill for the current storyboard artist to have in order to be a reliable artist.   Wakana is certainly the one of the most reliable storyboard artists in the industry.

Currently, Wakana is being featured on Just Cause website as the lead storyboard artist on their projects. Just Cause Productions, one of the leading motion-capture/VFX studios in demand in California and where such video game hits as the the Resident Evil series, Soul Calibur V, and the music video “Turn me on it” by best selling artist Nicki Manaj have been produced, has been a constant collaborator for Wakana. The relationship with Just Cause Production began when Wakana was brought aboard for the Just Dance Kids as the lead storyboard artist and background illustrator.  It was within this key role that Just Cause Productions saw the talent Wakana has and the advantage to having her on future projects would be.  Since then, she has worked on a number of projects for Just Cause Productions.

Other notable collaborations have been with the Golden Globe and Cesar Award-winning, Oscar-nominated director Ari Folman for his latest film; “The Congress”, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival this year, the award-winning actor and director Derek Magyar's Santa Barbara International Film Festival opening film “Flying Lessons”, and the critical acclaimed director/VFX supervisor Mark Dippe's up coming TV series “Gutsy Frog”, as well as continuous collaborations with Fuse Interactive on an ongoing nation-wide commercial campaign for Kawasaki and Rocky Jo, who has worked with such sports legends as Michael Jordan, Usain Bolt, and Tiger Wood.

Wakana Yokota has already worked on more commercials for Kawasaki, in collaboration with Fuse Interactive, the Gutsy Frog TV series; along with a whole range of upcoming projects that will further showcase her range as a leading storyboard artist in Entertainment industry.
